Welcome and roles
/welcome
/welcome is onboarding. It can keep Discord roles in step with the roster, and it posts a public message newcomers can use without seeing the rest of the server.
The welcome post
Post the welcome message here sends an embed in the current channel with Join the roster and Apply. Join the roster opens the register form. Apply opens the recruitment form. A server can show newcomers only that channel until they join.
Roles the bot can keep
Each toggle is optional. Turning one on backfills the current roster. Turning it off leaves existing Discord roles on people; delete those in Discord if you want them gone. The bot's own role has to sit above the roles it assigns, and the invite asks for Manage Roles for this.
- Member role: one role you pick, given to everyone on the roster and removed when they leave.
- Class roles: one role per class (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, Pirate, Beginner), following the member's main job.
- Job roles: one role per exact job, such as Bishop or Night Lord, created the first time someone has that job.
- Level roles: Lv 1–29, Lv 30–69, Lv 70–119, Lv 120–199, Lv 200+.
- Achievement roles: a badge role that is given when earned and not taken away. Badges are First Run (Completed a first run), Regular (10 runs), Veteran (50 runs), Legend (100 runs), PQ Hero (10 party quests).
